Jundum is a narcissistic god who is out for himself. While he is not outwardly malicious, he doesn’t care who he hurts or what he destroys in his self-absorbed way. Jundum is an important god, because he serves as a foil for good-hearted people to differ from. On the other hand, his selfish pragmatism is a valuable mindset for those who need to take care of themselves and their own. It isn’t heretical to offer a prayer to Jundum before tossing some dice, but it is somewhat ironic to imagine that he would answer such a petty prayer.
The Shades of Jundum is a heretical terrorist organization of gnomes. They formed as a response to the gnomish genocide that began in 3041. Although they oppose the orthodoxy, they are unrepentantly vicious in their machinations. They are known for turning the normally constructive gnomish ingenuity on its head to build weapons of death and destruction. In 3072, an entire block in Kelarnis was leveled by an explosion. The Shades of Jundum claimed responsibility of the deaths at least one-hundred thousand men, women and children in that event. Messages from cell leaders indicate that these attacks will continue until the gnomish genocide stops.
